1981-1991 Outdoor Sports Headquarters
Started in territory sales with what was at the time the largest distributor of shooting sports and fishing tackle products in the United States. Was soon promoted into sales management, and by the end of my employment there was the Fall Goods Merchandise Manager responsible for the acquisition of over $120 million in outdoor sporting products inventory.
1991-2004 Jones and Company, Inc.
Recruited by Jones and Company, a manufacturer representative agency, to learn the business and eventually buy the company. During my ownership, the agency’s roster of outdoor sporting goods manufacturers grew exponentially to make Jones and Company one of the industry’s preeminent sales agencies. After 12 years of steady growth with a staff of 19 sales representatives and 3 home office staffers, the agency was sold to two key employees.
2005- Retired at age 46
2007- Bored with retirement. Consulted for manufacturers, marketing groups and distribution companies specializing in the outdoor sporting goods industry. Started a new product development and marketing company innovating and building new branded products and delivering them “turn key” to established manufacturers and new distribution channels.

BIOGRAPICAL SUMMARY
David learned machining and manufacturing techniques at a young age from his father a US Navy trained tool and die maker and Turbine Engine refurbishment Forman, who owned and operated a machine shop called Carson Tool & Die, Inc. Throughout his adolescence and teenage years David worked side by side his father and was ultimately able to create complex parts and tools while maintaining the accurate tolerances.
In 1988 David was awarded a Specialized Technology Degree Mechanical Drafting and Design in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he served as class treasurer. After graduation David was immediately hired by Eastern Engineering Associates, Inc., (EEA) and worked proficiently as a draftsman providing detailed shop drawings for chassis and brake systems for Mack Trucks.
David was soon recruited by a specialized prototype company and began to build, develop and draft, prototypes for an enormous range of prototype and production products for such companies as Motorola, IBM and Beckman Coulter. Here he learned soft tool mold design, refined his machining skills, and learned the very latest prototype and production processes first hand. David noticed that quality engineering drawings were often the key to a projects success and he then realized there was a great need for accurate documentation drawings on the production floor as well as on the bidding table.
